2009 season is underway
The 2009 backcountry season is In full swing.With the snow conditions being what they are we as backcountry riders have to be on our toes.Western riders are being plagued by perfect avalanch
conditions and the deep freez here in the east has not allowed the snow to settle at all.I highly
recomend In this area to travel with a group of 4 In the mountains and be well equiped. The bottomless powder lends its self to drop out of sight conditions and in the tuck bush when a sled drops thru 2 guys are just not getting a sled out.It took 6 of us to haul out a summit saturday.Everyones well aware of the dangers out west with the recent tradgedies and vigliance is our responsibility..lets enjoy our backcountry But respect the conditions for what they right now are...Stay safe, Have fun... cheers
